I cannot recommend Dave highly enough as a driving instructor. Dave and my daughter first met in 2025 when Chelsea had absolutely no driving experience. Living with ASD can sometimes make new experiences and changes more challenging for her, but from the beginning, Dave has been patient, understanding, and consistently supportive. Dave has helped Chelsea build not only her confidence behind the wheel but also the independence that comes with taking those next steps into adulthood. Chelsea has been fortunate enough to complete the majority of her driving hours with Dave. As her Mum, this gives me enormous peace of mind knowing that she has been learning the correct road rules, Safe driving habits and hazard awareness from an experienced professional. Over the past year, Dave has really taken the time to get to know Chelsea and our family. Dave has since started teaching my middle daughter to drive, which says a lot about the trust we have in him. Dave has always been flexible, reliable, and fantastic with communication when organising lessons. Dave continually goes the extra mile to make sure my girls understand road rules, safety hazards and what to expect in different situations on the road. The biggest change has been watching Chelsea go from an extremely nervous beginner to a young woman who now feels ready to spread her wings and become an independent driver. After having lessons with another school in Muswellbrook, which was not a pleasant experience, I reached out to Dave for help, and the difference was night and day, Dave is very knowledgeable and calm, which helped with my anxiety. Dave was hugely helpful taking me from complete beginner, having only driven for a couple of hours at low speeds before the first lesson. Over the 10 hours we covered all of the skills and foundational areas, and my confidence went up a hundred-fold. Finally, doing a mock test really gave me an idea of what the driving test would feel like, so I felt confident and prepared going into it. And I don’t think I’ll ever forget how to do a reverse parallel park, thanks to Dave’s patented method. Thanks heaps.

Booked a test in Singleton because the wait times in Sydney are months out. After failing my first test in Singleton without any instruction, I booked Dave to get a better idea of the test area. He took me on both courses across a lesson and the pre-test warm up, and let me borrow his car for the actual test. Since I was from out of town I didn’t have a great way to get around but Dave picked me up from my accomodation each class and then dropped me off at the station once I was done with everything. It feels so good to pass and I definitely owe part of it to Dave. Thank you so much!
